JOB SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for oversight of the design and development of business intelligence reporting solutions. The selected candidate will be expected to work closely with business functional leads, business analysts and other BI developers in designing and developing Cognos reporting solutions to meet identified needs. A successful candidate will possess the ability to provide expertise in business intelligence best practices. This position is a key component of the DW/BI practice within the Business Solutions Shared Services department of Operations & Technology.
Operates in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering requirements. Responsible to report any procedure or process that doesnt meet regulatory requirements including fraud, whether suspected or confirmed, to management. This reporting can be done directly to any member of management, including Human Resources or Corporate Security, or can be reported through Associateds anonymous Ethics Hotline.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Identify, analyze and translate business requirements into reliable and reusable solution architectures and designs to deliver BI capabilities to business stakeholders.
2. Develop reporting and analytics solutions to solve business problems and support decision making at the strategic, tactical and operational level.
3. Provide guidance and mentoring to junior BI developers.
4. Lead the development and maintenance of BI reporting standards.
5. Participate in the development, maintenance and governance of business, technical, operational and analytics metadata.
6. Work and collaborate with other members of the DW/BI teams to develop and maintain the DW/BI reference architecture and contribute reusable BI assets to it.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with business analytics colleagues in corporate functions and LOBs to ensure alignment and quick response to their needs.
8. Serve as a Self-Service analytics subject matter expert to business stakeholders.
Qualifications
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Education
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Preferred Education
Bachelor Degree
Minimum Experience
5 years of Information Technology experience with 4 years experience in design and development of BI tools.
Preferred Experience
More than 5 years of Information Technology experience with more than 4 years experience in design and development of BI tools and at least 2 years of experience with IBM Cognos BI platform.
