JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer of the Corporation, the Chief Marketing Officer has overall responsibility for the design, implementation, and communication of the corporate branding and marketing philosophy and for the effective and cost efficient translation of that philosophy into a portfolio of marketing strategies and tactics in support of Associated Banc-Corps business strategy. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer are the core marketing areas of Brand/Creative Services, Marketing Advisory (Retail, Commercial, PCIS) and Digital Marketing.

The Chief Marketing Officer carefully balances the art with the science of Marketing and applies that balance through a definition of target audiences/client segments, tailored value propositions and aligned Marketing approaches, balance of marketing deployment across channels, and continuous consideration of Marketing Effectiveness (impact in the market as well as financial return to the organization). The incumbent collaborates closely with related disciplines within SMCC: Customer Solutions/Product Management, RATR (Research, Analytics, Tracking and Reporting), Strategy, and Corporate Communications.

Operates in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering requirements. Responsible to report any procedure or process that doesnt meet regulatory requirements including fraud, whether suspected or confirmed, to management. This reporting can be done directly to any member of management, including Human Resources or Corporate Security, or can be reported through Associateds anonymous Ethics Hotline.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Strategic Marketing Thought Leadership Provides proactive thought leadership by developing, gaining consensus and delivering a company-wide strategic marketing vision that challenges and transforms our thinking and uniquely positions Associated Bank in the marketplace.
2. Oversight of Marketing Execution Provide leadership and accountability in developing and executing the marketing plans and strategies that are in alignment with industry and competitive dynamics, achieve annual objectives that move the corporation towards its vision, and meet the needs and objectives of our internal customers.
3. Marketing Integration Serves as the essential point of integration to create a true corporate marketing perspective across business lines and other corporate stakeholders (i.e. compliance and technology) utilizing a harmonized blend of traditional and innovated marketing techniques.
4. Marketing Effectiveness Balances the art and science of marketing by applying rigorous goal setting, measurement and reporting related to the impact of creative strategies. Provides responsible stewardship of financial and human marketing resources.
5. Brand Ownership As the owner and principle steward of the corporate brand ensure clear and distinctive definition of the brand, translation into specific standards and comprehensive and consistent reflection of these standards in all aspects of marketing deployment.
6. Collaboration Builds effective partnerships in the organization by providing an seeking consultation with specific emphasis on the interplay of Marketing, Sales and Customer Experience.
7. Team Development Translate the organizations talent philosophy into development and cross-organizational career opportunities for all team members that leads to a high performance team and scalable marketing organization.

Qualifications
Minimum Education
Masters Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Education
Masters Degree in Business Administration with Marketing focus

Minimum Experience
10+ years marketing experience with blend of creative and customer centric work with proven team leadership

Preferred Experience
10+ years marketing experience with significant exposure to banking/financial services, blend of creative, customer centric, and analytic work, and proven leadership roles including direct exposure to senior management.
