JOB SUMMARY Provides customer service to Commercial Property & Casualty clients and support to Commercial P & C Consultants and Marketers with the goal of increasing new business production and client retention. Resolves client issues efficiently and accurately primarily through phone and electronic communication methods. Utilizes superior customer service skills to respond to client requests in methods that exceed their expectation. Responsible for managing the client and prospect by being accessible and responsive to the Consultants and keeping them advised of deadlines and updates, serving internal and external customers in a positive, professional manner, and following all guidelines on confidentiality. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Resolves and answers any client problem or question by being an inside technical expert in commercial property & casualty and a client advocate with the carrier. Solve or advise on practical problems faced by clients and/or prospects in the areas of insurance. Deals with clients on routine, sensitive or urgent topics and be able to provide answers and advice either immediately or within a reasonable period of time. Interprets a variety of insurance laws, regulations, policies, procedures and convey the information to clients either directly or through written communication. 2. Anticipates clients needs and proactively initiates communication and/or resolution through introductory calls (introducing the client to their service team, administrative procedures, and contact information), pro-active semi-annual service calls (reviewing recent services, upcoming seminars/webinars, use of their electronic services, etc), and frequent updates during the life of an issue, client specific program support. 3. Maintains client and policy information in the customer management system including policies, endorsements, new and renewal business. Organizes work flow to ensure quick, efficient processing of mail, work-in-process issues, and client files to maintain a no backlog status 4. Provides support and assistance to Consultants including, assisting with client service issues brought to the Consultants attention; keeping the Consultant informed of insurance company underwriting procedures; setting appointments to meet with clients on renewals; obtaining claims experience reports and maintaining client files. Tracks and manages new business/rewrite submissions through the insurance company underwriting process. 5. Backs up other AM positions in the department or agency personnel as appropriate. 6. Develops expertise areas as assigned these may be in relation to specific products, insurance companies, or computer programs.
Qualifications JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Education Bachelors Degree or equivalent
Preferred Education Bachelors Degree or equivalent
Minimum Experience 3-5 years customer service experience with at least 2 years experience in an insurance agency environment or with an insurance carrier. Special Skill Requirements Computer Skills/Licensing/Certifications/Bonding Wisconsin or Minnesota Property & Casualty Insurance License
General Physical Conditions Light physical effort; routine handling of heavy objects up to 20 pounds or prolonged standing, keyboard, or CRT work (at least 50% of time)
Coordination/Visual Acuity Normal coordination and/or visual attention in connection with the standard flow of work.
Other Duties and Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements Adherence to Company policy and procedures is required. Perform duties in accordance with the Vision & Values of Associated Banc-Corp. Regular attendance is required. Basic math and reading skills, and attention to detail. Use of basic office equipment (e.g., photocopier, voice mail, "fax" machine, calculator, multiple line telephones, typewriter, computers etc.). Represent the organization in a professional and positive manner.
Travel Up to 10 days per year on average (generally same day travel)
