Senior Manager, Production

JOB SUMMARY
To manage the resources of the company (including manpower; machine and materials) to maximize profitability in compliance with the Quality Management System. To act as a coach for assistant managers and Team Leaders. To meet the customers needs through service, quality and delivery.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with long term company goals to meet customer needs by establishing and maintaining rate of operation goals; scheduling production in each respective area and developing and controlling other targets as needed.
• To act as a coach for Assistant Managers and Team Leaders.
• Supervise and train Assistant Managers and Team Leaders to involve all workers in 5’S, safety and quality practices.
• Through employee involvement, maintain good employee morale.
• Directs and coordinates the activities with the respective section in the most efficient manner using the concept of QCDMS.
• Maintains 100% on-time delivery by meeting production targets.
• Completes and communicates necessary reports.
• To know and understand policies and procedures and be able to administer them fairly and consistently.
• Participate in internal auditing for Quality, Environmental or Safety.

SCOPE OF JOB
• Directly supervises all Assistant Managers and Team Leaders within the respective areas.
• Responsible for an operating budget constraints.
• Responsible for coordinating the establishment of production goals within the respective area.
• Promotion of company activities such as Employee Involvement and the Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
• May require some travel.
• Other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Requires 4 year degree and a minimum of 5-7 years experience in high volume manufacturing with previous supervisory experience. Manage activities of production operations to achieve 100% delivery, zero defects, and within operating budget. Must have strong analytical abilities, with heavy emphasis in continuous improvement with a sense of urgency. Superior associate training and coaching skills necessary.

• Must be able to communicate effectively with outside resources and all levels of internal resources in both written and oral format.
• Must have proficient math and analytical skills.
• Must have proficient knowledge of mechanics, electricity and technical skills.
• Must have previous internal auditing experience (i.e. Quality, Environmental or Safety).

QUALITY/ENVIRONMENTAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Understand your job responsibilities to perform, monitor and control the process.
• Follow all procedures and work instructions pertaining to your assignment and make recommendations to improve the process.
• Notify Management immediately when problems or non-conformances are detected.
• Appropriately record problem or non-conformance to ensure corrective action and preventative measures are taken.
• Assist in the problem solving process, corrective action and prevention activities.
• Contain or stop the process as necessary to prevent non-conforming material from contaminating good material.
• Learn, understand, communicate and practice the Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
• Play an active role in achieving and maintaining the Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
