JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for part and product inspection planning and reporting as well as problem investigation and analysis.  Inspection and measurement skills are required as well as report preparation and documentation.  Provide quality expertise to production and other departments.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Prepares inspection reports and documentation based on inspection results.
-Interprets and understands blue prints and specifications.
-Generates part/product quality/inspection plans.
-Designs and implements jigs, fixtures, and instructions to facilitate part/product inspection.
-Conducts training for associates so that they can perform inspections.

SCOPE OF JOB

-Responsible for part and product inspection and planning.
-Conducts problem investigation and analysis.
-Provides assistance to other departments.
-Responsible for training other associates.
-Requires methodical, detailed and accurate work.
-Prepares written inspection reports and inspection instructions.
-Requires teamwork and participation in Employee Involvement and TS16949.
-Perform other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

-Possess two (2) year degree in a technical discipline.
-Possess manufacturing quality experience.
-DCC CMM programmer/operator experience.
-Must be able to communicate effectively with outside resources and all levels of internal resources in both written and oral formats.
-Must have computer related skills in Microsoft Excel-Word-PowerPoint-Access.
-Refer to Physical Essential Job Function manual.

QUALITY/ENVIRONMENTAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

-Understand your job responsibilities to perform, monitor, and control the process.
-Follow all procedures and work instructions pertaining to your assignment and make recommendations to improve the process.
-Notify Management immediately when problems or non-conformances are detected.
-Appropriately record problem or non-conformance to ensure corrective action and preventative measures are taken.
-Assist in the problem solving, corrective action and prevention activities.
-Contain or stop the process as necessary to prevent non-conforming material from contaminating good material.
-Learn, understand, communicate and practice the Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
-Play an active role in achieving and maintaining TS16949 and ISO14001.
