Fish Interpretive Technologist
Job Location: Rye Brook, New York
Job Description:
In this position you will read and interpret fluorescence labeled slides for both UroVysion and PathVysion tests using both manual and automated procedures. Work up diagnostic medical report including photomicrographs. You will handle documentation of case load you are working on as well, work up diagnostic medical report. You will monitor specimen adequacy and staining quality, trouble-shoot suboptimal processing technique, and must have the ability to process FISH tests including reconciliation, accessioning, data entry, preparation and staining. Documentation of specimen integrity, specimen processing and all maintenance logs when necessary
Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably in Biology/Molecular/Genetics. New York State License. Microscopy skills is a huge plus.
This shift is from 4pm-midnight M-F and will pay based upon experience.
