Job Description:
Growing healthcare facility is looking for someone who has experience and in the supervision, direction and monitoring of all assigned Insurance & Billing Specialist and Customer Service Clerical staff. In this position, you would assure that proper and accurate payment, contractual adjustment and refund transactions are appropriately and timely applied for optimum reimbursement. Assure that high quality customer service is provided to patients and others who contact the Central Billing Office (CBO) by telephone or in person and coordinates clerical functions that support the entire CBO. Identify pattern problems and resolves by working with provider representatives, third-party administrators and/or staff. In this position you would supervise approximately 12-18 individuals in the billing staff.
Bachelor degree in business or related field preferred with minimum one year medical insurance and billing experience in a health care setting. If you have an Associate degree in business or related field preferred with minimum three years related experience in a health care setting or a minimum five years medical insurance and billing experience in a health care setting. Minimum three years supervisory experience. Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, HCPC and CCI coding guidelines; demonstrated knowledge of Fair Credit Act; familiarity with corporate compliance issues as well as HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and HMO rules and regulations.
