Objective:
The role of Product Management involves all aspects of managing the Product Life Cycle (PLC), from concept to end of life.
Background & Responsibilities:
* BS degree in engineering or related field, MS/MBA preferred
* 10 years of program/project management or engineering experience in relevant field
* Knowledge of networked computing
* Knowledge of networked video/media distribution
* Knowledge of digital recording systems
* Experience with product, project, and business planning
* Understanding of current and future applicable technologies
* Understanding the practical capabilities of engineering development and project teams.
* Understand, evaluate, and assimilate the needs from multiple market groups.
* Generate and maintain product roadmaps
* Lead Quality Function Deployment (QFD) activities for major strategic product initiatives.
* Work with engineering development and project teams to define detailed Technical Specifications.
* Generate/maintain launch plans for new products
* Review product/project development plans, host monthly resource planning meetings.
* Reconcile major milestones with Marketing/Sales needs/opportunities
