Completed an AMA approved formal US program
BLS within 3 months of hire

Position Summary
Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of physicians.
Job Qualifications
Education or Formal Training
1. Colorado RN license in good standing.
2. One to two years experience in clinic setting preferred.
Special Qualifications (licensure, registration, etc.)
BLS certification required by the end of conditional period.
Knowledge, Skill and Ability
1. Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care.
2. Knowledge of human growth and development to inform and guide interaction with and care for patients ages newborn to geriatric.
3. Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care.
4. Knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
5. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
6. Knowledge of CLIA, OSHA, JCAHO and Corporate Compliance regulations.
7. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
8. Skill in using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interaction with care for patients, newborn to geriatric.
9. Skill in maintaining the principles and applying and modifying methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide on-going care to call patients.
10. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
11. Skill in taking vital signs
12. Skill in administering and assisting with a variety of treatments and medications as directed.
13. Skill in maintaining patient records by careful documentation and recording test results.
14. Skill in developing and maintaining department quality improvement.
15. Skill in working effectively with patients and their representatives, managers, staff, physicians, other hospital departments, outside agencies and the public.
