Our Precision Technologies Division in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Master Planner / Scheduler that has the drive, integrity, knowledge, education, determination, experience, and ability to help drive our success. The selected candidate will apply and monitor a planning and scheduling system in accordance with Program Management requests and approved Inventory Management techniques. Develops manufacturing plans and schedules for programs or products to be produced by Manufacturing and reflects progress against schedules through written and graphic reports. Essential Functions and Competencies Demonstrates understanding of the extended process of order receipt and entry, material procurement, order release, assembly, shipment, and invoice payment. Understands the extended process of return debits and credits, return receipt and routing generation, Process Feedback System (PFS) entry and order release, return/project cost analysis, and return/project invoicing and shipment. Understands Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools (Baan or equivalent) as they apply to the position. Effective decision making skills as it relates to providing direction to the manufacturing floor and assigning priorities to meet customer goals and objectives. Communicates effectively, in both written and verbal formats. Exercises discretion and independent judgment when representing the company in supply chain related decisions with an entrepreneurial approach. Ability to handle returned product following all appropriate handling and ESD guidelines. Effective planning, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. Effective leadership skills with co-workers and customers. Ability to effectively mentor co-workers. Ability to independently drive solutions to complex supply chain issues with limited supervision. Demonstrates teamwork and the ability to operate on diverse project teams with minimal direction. Demonstrates confidentiality and the ability to represent the company in a professional manner. Participates in a continuous improvement activity. Ability to understand and apply continuous improvement tools. Qualifications / Education / Experience Develops plans and schedules of manufacturing activities on major programs or product lines from engineering release through to delivery of completed prime equipment and spares. Analyzes memorandums, SSOs, work orders, and other authorizing documents to establish scope of task being requested of manufacturing. Develops schedules in accordance with operational schedules, manpower capabilities, and physical resources of Manufacturing Engineering, Production Test and Support, Assembly, Test Engineering, and Material Services. Coordinates scheduling activities with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Inspection and Procurement to ensure on schedule drawing release, material receipt and inspection. Responsible for the preparation and presentation of charts, graphs, and written reports outlining current status against schedules; analyzes deviations from schedules as to their nature, the reasons for schedule variance, their cost implications, the impact on the immediate tasks, the impact on the total program, and the corrective action to be taken. Coordinates and analyzes various support documents (computer printouts, prints, published material lead times, bills of material, etc.) to establish a. End item schedules b. Release, build and test schedules for all levels of product Generates appropriate documents to assure plan is properly inputted into the MRP System. Edits and corrects inputs as required. Prepares and presents program plans to manufacturing and program office management. Attends Production meetings. Assists in decision making process affecting manufacturing plans and schedules. Reviews, approves or concurs with, and reports schedule changes per submitted material and capacity analysis by customer team.
7+ years experience in planning and scheduling in more complex accounts; Provides leadership and mentorship to others in the planning activity
