Job Summary
Exercising a high level of accuracy and efficiency, loads schedule and releases orders per schedule review process defined by Supply Chain Analyst. Monitors status of planned and released orders through shipment and invoice payment and expedites/resolves issues that delay schedules.

Essential Functions and Competencies
Demonstrates understanding of the extended process of order receipt and entry, material procurement, order release, assembly, shipment, and invoice payment. Understands Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools (Baan, or equivalent) as they apply to the position. Effective decision making skills as it relates to providing direction to the manufacturing floor and assigning priorities to meet customer goals and objectives. Understands the extended process of return debits and credits, return receipt and routing generation, Process Feedback System (PFS) entry and order release, return/project cost analysis, and return/project invoicing and shipment. Communicates effectively, in both written and verbal formats. Exercises discretion when representing the company in supply chain related decisions. Effective planning, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. Ability to handle returned product following all appropriate handling and ESD guidelines. Effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates confidentiality and the ability to represent the company in a professional manner. Participates in a continuous improvement activity. with complete documentation including a follow up review with the team in a presentation format. Effective leadership skills and oral and written communication skills with co-workers and customers. Ability to independently drive solutions to complex supply chain issues with limited supervision. Ability to understand and apply continuous improvement tools.

Qualifications / Education / Experience
Acts as a key contact for receipt and entry of new orders, change orders, and net change analysis from customers. Performs material and capacity analysis, works with Supply Chain Analyst to assist in establishing a production schedule for each order, and communicates/resolves issues related to discrepancies between the requested and promised due date. Acknowledges promised delivery date to customer and assists Supply Chain Analyst in resolution of issues related to discrepancies between the requested and promised due date. Processes component and non-inventory order entries and invoices as needed. Contributes to planning functions and may make recommendations and/or decisions to support the Supply Chain Analyst. Communicates forecast and production schedule changes to Master Planner and Supply Chain supervisor. Analyzes potential impact of forecast and production schedule changes on component procurement and production volume. Monitors material status on upcoming orders and flags and releases orders as daily release schedule is defined. Monitors all orders to assure timely completion to promise date and escalates/resolves issues that may prevent timely delivery of orders. Works with Production, Product Engineering, Kit pull, Shipping, and Purchasing for any issues related to priorities, holds, throughput or capacity issues, part shortages, or engineering changes on released orders. May participate on the Customer Team as the Planning Dept representative and supports department, and business unit. Assists Supply Chain Management or Supply Chain Analyst as needed regarding development of or changes to Planning or Scheduling processes. Provides input or analysis to management of WIP, Finished Goods, and Component inventory levels in accordance with the Supply Chain Analyst. Works with Project Management as assigned to process project orders, track orders to completion, analyze project costs, and prepare and process project invoicing and closing. Works with Finance to investigate and resolve Accounts Receivable issues. Performs planning functions and makes recommendations and/or decisions to support the Supply Chain Analyst. Provides mentorship for other schedulers in the department. Assists in driving key initiatives for process improvement. Performs "scenario" analyses to aid in optimal scheduling, priorities and decision making. Communicates forecast and production schedule changes to Master Planner and Supply Chain analysts. Performs planning functions and makes recommendations and/or decisions to support the Supply Chain Analyst. Modifies schedules as appropriate due to considerations of lot sizes, lead times, inventory levels, efficient timely production utilization, and subassembly merge with final assembly requirements. Acts as a focal point for Production, Product Engineering, Kit pull, Shipping, and Purchasing for any issues related to priorities, holds, throughput or capacity issues, part shortages, or engineering changes on released orders. Participates on the Customer Team as the Planning Dept representative and supports department, business unit, and divisional goals. Assists Supply Chain Management or Supply Chain Analyst as needed regarding development of or changes to Planning or Scheduling processes. Provides analysis and management of WIP, Finished Goods, and Component inventory levels in accordance with the Supply Chain Analyst. Works with Project Management as assigned to process project orders, track orders to completion, analyze project costs, and prepare and process project invoicing and closing. Acts as the primary customer contact for all return issues as assigned; processes Return Material Authorization (RMA) issue, return routing changes, return receipt and issue, return cost analysis, and tracking of returns through shipment and invoicing per defined guidelines. Works with Finance to investigate and resolve Accounts Receivable issues. Assists other team members as needed to ensure customer needs are met.

5+ years experience in planning and scheduling preferrably in an electronics contract manufacturing environment.

4 year business or technical degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management may be considered.
