Senior Test Technician

Summary:
This position all be located in Winona, MN.
- Responsible for providing support and debug for test processes on the production floor as well as supporting customer test processes and production test throughput.
- Aide leadership by recommending, leading, and providing improvements in test processes and debug techniques.
- Debug high complex electronic assemblies to component level
- Provide feedback to leadership regarding product flow and work sequence.
- Document improved debug techniques
- Perform tester maintenance and upkeep, makes improvements to processes
- Trouble shoot operator problem successfully, works with leadership on training and process improvements
- Provide training and mentorship to Test Operators and Technicians
- Communicate problems to proper Principal Test Technician, Test Engineer and/or leader, assists and advises on analysis and resolution
- Communicate technical information regarding Test with Test Engineers, Customers, and Account Management
- Assist in defining experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis
- Recommend additional equipment needs to leadership and/ or Test Engineers for the product debug areas
- Constantly monitors and implements production processes and test systems to decrease No Defects Found (NDF’s)
- Comply with quality assurance policies and methodologies; develop a strong quality orientation
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all published/posted safety standards (Daily use of ESD and safety protective devices: eye protection, smock, and foot straps)
- Performs Engan screening before escalation to the Principal Test Technician or Test Engineer

Skills Required:
- Must have intermediate computer knowledge in Office and Windows applications
- Will be proficient in debug techniques on electronic assemblies/subassemblies in a manufacturing environment involving Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)
- Will demonstrate strong analytical skills
- Will demonstrate effective leadership and interpersonal skills
- Will demonstrate a thorough understanding of Test Measurement and Debug Techniques
- Will demonstrate the ability to debug and troubleshoot multiple current test platforms including the software and hardware
- Will demonstrate effective communication, both verbal and written
- Will demonstrate regular, consistent attendance and be able to work overtime requests when needed
- Will demonstrate a thorough understanding of BEI test systems and processes
- Will exhibit professionalism and confidentiality
- Will demonstrate a thorough understanding of hardware and software of complex test platforms
- Will demonstrate advanced problem solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions
- Will be self-motivated and have the ability and desire to learn new procedures and techniques.
- Will be able to work with limited supervision
Experience Required:
- Electronics manufacturing experience preferred
Education Required:
- Must have a minimum of a 2-year Electronic or related technical degree with 4+ years test technician experience or a 4 year Electronic degree
