The Manufacturing Technician provides support manufacturing equipment, materials and processes to production to ensure products are assembled in an efficient manner, meeting customer quality and expectations and on-time delivery specifications. This vacancy is open on our 2nd shift, which is scheduled Monday - Thursday from 2:30 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.

Qualifications / Education / Experience
Position responsibilites
  • Maintains machine programs and profiles for new and existing product
  • Aids the Product group in maintaining product routings, maintaining drawing packets, performing ongoing maintenance, and interpreting instructions/specifications for the floor
  • Assists in process training on processes/products for Production and Support groups
  • Maintains process instructions as assigned
  • Aids group in coordination product facility moves as needed
  • Assists Support Engineering in production startups on the floor
  • Aids in maintenance of product standard routing times
  • Participates as a proactive member of a Continuous Process Improvement Team, reviewing all necessary data and recommend proactive improvements on an ongoing basis
  • Participates in monthly reporting analysis and data collection
  • Coordinates schedules for new production equipment
  • Coordinates the testing and qualification for new equipment, materials, and processes
  • Assists in the training for new manufacturing equipment, materials, and processes as required
  • Maintains the capital equipment & process capabilities list as required
  • Helps with the disposition of used capital equipment as required
  • Stays abreast of equipment, material, and process trends in the electronic manufacturing industry
  • Assists with coordinating the installation of hardware and software updates as required
  • Works with all areas as required on understanding and improving recurring manufacturing & equipment issues
  • Drives corrective actions according to applicable process instructions to improve assembly quality and throughput.
  • Monitors work cell performance by reviewing the accuracy of routing standard times to actual times, process yield (PFS), utilization and downtime
  • Initiates Corrective Actions Plans, Process Change Orders, shutdown/restarts and follows through to completion
  • Initiates and performs mechanical and electronics repairs on needed equipment
  • Identifies work center layout issues to floor layout team
  • Able to perform all the essential functions and competencies listed above
  • Orders, coordinates and develops schedules for new production equipment
  • Coordinates training for new manufacturing equipment, materials, and processes as required
  • Proposes ideas for custom tooling for overall process & equipment improvement
  • Maintains contact with equipment suppliers for hardware and software updates.
  • Coordinates the installation of hardware and software updates as required
  • Improves quality and throughput of all assemblies in assigned area
  • Monitors work cell performance by reviewing the accuracy of routing standard times to actual times, process yield (PFS), utilization and downtime.


Level I: 0-3 years of experience working in process or an equipment improvements area. Level II: 5-7+ years of experience working in a process, equipment improvements, or qualifications area.

Two-year/Associate`s degree is preferred in a technical or related field.
