Process Engineer

Summary:
- Creates and maintains all machine programs and profiles for new and existing product
- Aids the Product group in maintaining product routings, creating drawing packets and performs ongoing maintenance, interpreting instructions/specifications for the floor
- Coordinates process training on processes/products for Production and Support groups
- Creates and maintains process instructions
- Coordinates product facility moves as needed
- Provides product Design For Manufacturability (DFM) feedback to the Product Engineer
- Assists Support and Product Engineering in product startups on the floor • Aids in development and maintains product standard routing times
- Develops process capabilities with the Technology Engineering group
- Participates as a proactive member of a Continuous Process Improvement Team, reviewing all necessary data and implement proactive improvements on an ongoing basis
- Sets up and maintains the process for Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Skills Required:
- Will be computer literate in Office and Windows applications.
- Will demonstrate understanding and use of use of University level technical writing, mathematical & statistical tools for cost analysis, design of experiments, & general engineering problem solving
- Will be able to make independent judgments using sound engineering principles and techniques
- Will demonstrate excellent problem solving skills exhibiting creativity in developing solutions
- Will possess good written and oral communication skills
- Will demonstrate effective interpersonal skills
- Will possess effective prioritization and organizational skills with particular attention to detail
- Will demonstrate ability to work individually or in teams
- Will develop an understanding of BEI systems
- Will be able to support department and customer work schedules including overtime and short term assignments on multiple shifts and weekends, and demonstrate regular, consistent attendance
- Will exhibit professionalism
- Will be able to sit utilizing a computer for up to 6 hours of shift
- Will be able to travel up to 5% of the time to include day and/or overnight travel
