Machine Operator (7am-3:30pm)

Machine Operator (7am-3:30pm)
This position is responsible for producing colorant & coating products, which includes mixing and blending raw material and packaging finished goods sold around the world. The position will be required to operate various filling and packaging equipment and operate a fork lift, while complying with all safety regulations.
Principal Accountabilities:
Production Duties:
- Operate various filling and packaging equipment including liquid fillers, form-fill and seal machines, and tablet presses.
- Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products
- Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material
- Record and maintain production data such as meter readings, and quantities, types, and dimensions of materials produced.
- Comply with all Safety Regulations; maintain a safe work environment at all times.
- Continually maintain plant and grounds for cleanliness and organization.
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Other duties assigned
- These duties will account for 70% of the overall job responsibilities.
Forklifts:
- Operation of forklifts
- Certification course required.
- Comply with all Safety Regulations.
- These duties will account for 25% of the overall job responsibilities.
Batch Tickets:
- Accurately follow instructions and record data on production tickets including batch sampling and other duties associated with batch formulation, such as weighing, addition, and mixing various ingredients.
- These duties will account for 5% of the overall job responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will be punctual and up-beat. A High School diploma or equivalent required. Solid math skill, reading and observations skills required.
