Project Controller
Job Location: Boston, MA
Salary
$100K-150K
Job Summary:
Manage all activities related to project accounting, including accounting, finance, costing, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and pricing of project related activities for large software implementations. Implementations generally involve the deployment, management and costing of internal and external labor resources.
Job Responsibilities:
· Actively participate in the entire project life cycle from contract analysis, pricing and costing structure definition up to the actual project completion.
· Act as a liaison between finance and implementation departments.
· Develop, implement and manage:
- Proposal and contract analysis and approval processes
- Processes, procedures and practices to streamline project accounting, including the review of customers contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition method
- Standard labor costing methodology which captures all cost elements of an international environment.
- Project pricing methodology
- Project reporting and forecasting system to keep management apprised of project progress.
- Project accounting policy
- Time reporting system
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, CPA or MBA highly preferable.
· Prior senior level project accounting and management experience a must. Similar experience in software or related service industry highly preferable.
· Strong communication skills a must.
· International experience preferred.
· Multi-lingual (especially Spanish) preferred.
· Approximately 25% internationally travel required
