Programmer / Analyst II
Job Location: Herndon, VA
JOB SUMMARY:
The Programmer/Analyst II will work under the direction of senior programming staff in performing analysis, design, programming, testing and maintenance of web and client/server application programs. The incumbent will assist the development team in providing comprehensive support for existing and new applications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Analyze, design, code, test and maintain Web and Java/Web Service programs in a W2003/IIS/Tomcat/Informix environment.
· Analyze, design, code, test and maintain ESQL/C server programs in an IBM AIX/Informix environment.
· Write clear, concise system documentation.
· Provide production support for applications.
MUST HAVE:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- One to three years of professional work experience.
- Java experience.
- SQL experience.
- ASP or JSP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS experience.
- Multi-tier database application development experience.
- Web application development experience.
- Full software life-cycle development and team project experience.
- Production support experience.
OTHER HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:
· · Experience with Eclipse IDE.
· · Experience with JUnit.
· · Experience with UML Modeling Tool.
· · C experience.
· · Shell script experience.
· · Embedded SQL/C experience.
· · Familiarity with the Unix environment.
· · Experience in Web Services development using Java/XML/SOAP/WSDL.
· · Experience with SDLC procedures and processes are helpful.
