We are a small, but very successful niche consulting company and a leading provider of Business Service Management (BSM) solutions for businesses that seek to monitor and manage their business services, IT infrastructure and workflow more efficiently and effectively. Using industry leading Business Service Management platforms such as the IBM Tivoli suite, we offer customized solutions to Fortune 100, 500 and 1000 customers across the Service Provider, Financial and Enterprise verticals.
We are looking for a Pre-Sales Consultant with 5+ years of experience in the Business Service Management space. The Consultant will be an integral part of the sales team. As our client is looking to expand and grow, this position will offer a great opportunity for professional growth. Experience with the IBM Tivoli and/or Netcool suites is highly desired. Extensive experience with HP and BMC can be considered. Prior hands-on experience with these solutions is a must. A proven track record of working with sales personnel and business development managers is also required.
The Consultant will work with customers at all levels, demonstrate products, present to different audiences, design solutions, create proposals, price quotes and other pre-sales collateral including data sheets, white papers, case studies and success stories. The Consultant will maintain a strong working relationship with client's vendor partners from a technical / technology perspective and participate in evaluations, beta programs, conferences and seminars. Training customers and internal resources on products and new technologies in this space from time to time will be necessary. The Consultant will also provide leadership and guidance to other internal pre-sales resources on a regular basis.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong interpersonal skills and an aptitude for problem solving are a must. The ability to understand technology and quickly translate it into non-technical and business terms for different audiences - both internal and customer-facing - in clear and compelling terms, is necessary. 75% - 100% travel is required.
