Job Description:
PHYSICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
Requirements:
BSEE/CS or equivalent and a minimum of five years of experience in physical design implementation at chip level;
prior experience in chip floorplan, power estimation and analysis, power network synthesis, clock distribution and clock tree synthesis, chip assembly, P&R timing closure, static timing analysis, parasitic extraction, signal integrity analysis and repair, and physical verification; direct experience with industry standard EDA tools such as Synopsys AstroExp/AstroRail/AstroXtalk/Jupiter-XT/Star-RC, Cadence FE/SOCE/Nanoroute/Celtic/VoltageStorm/Virtuoso, and Mentor Graphics Calibre DRC/LVS/xRC;
understanding of basic timing constraints (setup and hold and how it relates to layout);
