Description:
Our plant is looking for a Maintenance Electrical Technician
Come join a family oriented, progressive, team based company. As a member of our self-directed Maintenance team you will have input and impact on the direction of our plant and play a major role in the decision making process.
Bekaert is now accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Electrical General Technician.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring of plant operations, diagnose malfunctions and take appropriate action;
- All electrical electronic and instrumentation troubleshooting and repair;
- Preventive maintenance of all electrical/electronic and instrumentation equipment;
- Call-in responsibilities (on a rotation list);
- Participating in a team environment using Total Quality Management.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 2 year associate degree in electronics or related technical field with 2 years of recent electrical/electronic industrial work experience;
- electrical experience and knowledge of, including but not limited to, electrical prints, electronic schematics, AC and DC motors; use and interpretation of test equipment, solid state components, high voltage switch gear, PLC’s;
- trouble shooting experience in both industrial electricity and solid state electronics;
- Experience and proficiency in performing electrical wiring, component and assembly installation.
- Will be self-motivated, with a high standard of work ethic and a positive attitude.
