Job Description
Garden Store Manager for progressive nursery in Manhattan, Kansas. This is a full-time position with benefits.
- Ordering Garden Center hard goods
- Customer service
- Hiring and training garden store employees
- Supervise 2 foremen and 4-8 part-time employees
- Ordering annuals and perennials
Overseeing store greenhouses:
- Watering
- Fertilizing
- Stocking
Advertising:
- Radio & TV
- E-mail alerts
- Print ads (yellow pages, newspapers, etc.)
- Co-write newsletter
- Garden store promotions
- Set prices for annuals and perennials at the store
- Oversee P.O.S. entry
- Check e-mails and direct them to appropriate individuals
