Job Description
Qualifications:

* The ME shall possess a minimum of a BS degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical degree
* The ME shall also have 5+ years of direct industrial automation experience relating to printing and packaging and labeling operations
* Other desirable qualifications are as follows:
* Direct BIO/ Pharmaceutical process and equipment experience
* Direct printing and packaging and labeling automation support experience
* Knowledge of process validation as defined by FDA guidance documentation
* Knowledge of Good Automated Manufacturing Practices (GAMP) as defined by the ISPE

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Support the Packaging & Labeling department by providing technical expertise and guidance on process design, facility / line design and layout, equipment specification development, procurement, installation, training, and commissioning
* The ME will conduct industrial engineering studies and produce labor and equipment standards, and create other metrics such as efficiencies, utilization, down time, etc
* The ME will also develop and perform engineering studies and develop and execute protocols as required
* Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of Electro / Mechanical systems with emphasis on BIO/ Pharmaceutical printing and packaging and labeling equipment (including vision systems) within a cGMP environment
* Responsible for guiding /developing the capabilities of maintenance and production personnel in the areas of printing and packaging and labeling machines and tools, including their designs, uses, operation, repair, and maintenance
* Responsible for the design, troubleshooting, and repair of automated systems that use circuit boards, processors, PLC's, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming
* Conduct investigations, perform experiments, etc. and document results in accordance with cGMPs and other regulatory requirements
* The position will require administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by the Manager, Package Engineering
* These tasks are necessary to maintain flexibility in project orientated and dynamic manufacturing environments
