Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A BS or MS degree in microbiology, immunology, biology, or a related discipline with 3 years of relevant work experience in vaccinology or a closely related field. MS preferred
  • Knowledge of Biological QC operation and in vitro potency testing methods
  • Knowledge of standard requirements for vet. biologics as stated by 9CFR, EP, & VICH
  • Experience with ELISA tests, viral and bacterial growth
  • Ability to follow instructions and SOPs and work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with QC personnel and in a team setting
  • Working knowledge of statistics and statistical programs
  • Proficiency in computer software programs
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Organize and perform in vitro potency tests; Organize samples and plan testing; Perform in vitro potency tests; Analyze data and prepare test reports for regulatory submission; Report product test failure and conduct investigation
  • Maintain sufficient reagents for potency tests; Prepare and maintain sufficient reagents. Help reference re-qualifications in animal studies. Provide reagents to outside requests
  • Ensure to perform all potency tests following updated procedures; Review EU Dossiers, Outline of Production, Special Outline, SOPs and Control Forms to ensure all test methods used by QC Immunology must be consistent with updated procedures
  • Maintain laboratory equipment in working condition; Ensure laboratory tools validated and in working condition
