Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 4 year college degree. Preference in Ag, veterinary Science, or Biological Sciences related degree
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in animal health product sales, experience with distributors a plus
- Must have territory management experience with significant overnight travel history
- Must have presentation skills necessary to effectively speak to groups of 10 or more
- Must have strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Proven record of sales superiority. Documented sales success is required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible and accountable for all sales volume and sales results within the designated territory, fully implementing and utilizing all sales resources to ensure goal attainment
- Meet monthly, quarterly and yearly volume attainment and sales objectives goals
- Ensure territory analysis and targeting is optimized, gaining maximum ROI from resources
- Ensure gross sales goals and CMIII goals are met
- Create and implement necessary targeting, planning and goal setting up-front to achieve territory goals
- Direct the implementation of all sales and marketing plans within the territory
- Measure and monitor results continually, altering plans when necessary to achieve goals
- Stay within predetermined expense budgets
- Ensure good communication between NSM, Marketing and Companion Animal Team, and distribution
- Ensure the timely submission and proper adherence to corporate policies on travel, expense reports, MAP funds
- Coordinate and deliver training sessions to distributor Call Centers and Distributor reps
- Implement national programming and promotions with the distributor field sales team and Call Centers within the designated territory
- Identify key emerging opportunities to management, advancing solutions and resolution opportunities to management
- Coordinates, plans and designs in-clinic activities with key customers within the territory to support national programming
- Call on and maintain relationships with key customers as defined by the BI CAS targeting strategy
