1 year experience
Associate degree in Physical Therapy from a program accredited by the APTA and licensed in the state of South Carolina. One to two years clinical or home health experience. Must have a desire to work in the home setting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Complies with state law and practice act in delivery of physical therapy to patients.
2. Administer noncomplex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, and modalities to patients with relatively stable conditions.
3. Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in learning and improving functional activities such as preambulation, ambulation, transfers, and activities of daily living.
4. Observe, record, and report the patient's progress and response to treatment to the Physical Therapist.
5. Confer with the Physical Therapist and other members of the health care team for the purpose of planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs.
6. Write clear, concise and accurate clinical notes in a timely manner according to SFHHC guidelines.
7. Participates in educating the patient and family to achieve P.T. goals.
8. Handles daily P.T. schedules efficiently and demonstrates flexibility in scheduling when needs arises.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
1. Adheres to St. Francis Health System rules, regulations, and policies.
2. Performs other duties as assigned. Assists and supports other departments when needed.
