POSITION SUMMARY
Has direct accountability for month end close procedures for affiliated practices assigned by the Accounting Manager. Performs analytical reviews of the practice financials to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Prepares supporting schedules and graphs for the financial packets and generates financial packets for each affiliated practice for distribution prior to the practices financial review. Reconciliation of accounts as assigned by the Accounting Manager and prepares the bank reconciliation for all practices, assists the Accounting Manager with budget development, responsible for maintenance of various excel worksheets shared by Physician Services finance team, and verifies payroll information. Assists in preparing monthly billing summary reports, accounts payable and special projects.
Job Requirements
1. Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
2. Two or more years of relevant experience in hospital accounting, finance department, physician group, accounting firm focused on physician practice clients or health system sponsored physician network strongly desired.
3. Must be extremely proficient in Excel and with other common software products used in billing, coding and reimbursement processes in physician offices as well as CPT & ICD coding methodologies.
4. Must be very organized in work processes and attentive to detail in order to achieve consistent accuracy and high quality in work assignments.
