Master Black Belt

Position Description:
Is a key supporter of Brazeway's pursuit of Organizational Excellence. Is the Mentor, trainer, and coach of Six Sigma Belts and others in the organization. Brings the broad Organization up to the required Six Sigma competency level. Has proven Six Sigma technical proficiency, mentoring / consulting skills, and the ability to apply Six Sigma methodologies to manufacturing, engineering and transactional processes. Routinely reports the status of Brazeway's Six Sigma program to the Operations Team. The objective is to move Six Sigma from a "program" status to the "process" by which we manage and drive our improvement efforts.
Responsibilities include:
- Project Leader that provides active and aggressive leadership in problem solving efforts on key projects to improve quality, reduce cost/waste and/or improve cycle time across multiple facilities in the U.S. and Mexico.
- Plan, roll-out and support training sessions and maintain certification standards for Six Sigma Belts
- Mentor and coach Six Sigma Belts and support project implementation. Must motivate others to succeed and employ a "roll-up-the-sleeves" problem solving approach.
- Owns the Six Sigma technical development roadmap & is the custodian of the "Purity of the Method" - no compromising. Owns "Body of Knowledge" and facilitates transfer to and appropriate utilization by the organization.
- Support Group and Corporate Service management in identifying key opportunities and maintaining a list of projects that drive "customer satisfaction" and optimize overall company performance. Facilitates reporting of project progress to assure individual efforts meet Critical Success Factors.
- Develop and manage annual expenditures, project profiles, and project ROIs.
- Finds outside help and expertise when required by networking with other Six Sigma organizations (commercial and academic).
- Support and lead Team Directed Work Force principles, 10 Commitments and 8 People Principles, and respectfully serving as a key representative of the Brazeway team.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree with 5 years of significant business and technical experience.
- Must be a certified Black Belt with proven, documented Six Sigma technical proficiency.
- Completion of Master Black Belt certification program, with demonstrated skills as Mentor and coach of Six Sigma Belts in support of project implementation.
- Ability to travel to multiple facilities in the U.S. and Mexico.
Compensation/Benefits:
