Position:       Shift Supervisor 3pm- 3am

Location:      Kentucky

Reports to:   Production and Materials Manager 

Position Description:

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading and effectively managing a group (shift: 3pm-3am) of Brazeway employees who together manufacture product according to our Quality Definition.

Responsibilities:

1.   Understands the plant quality, productivity, and profitability goals and his/her unique role in attaining them.

2.   Implements the Production Plan. Communicates to all employees what must be done to achieve daily requirements. Adjusts during the shift to meet changing conditions, assiging or reassigning people as appropriate.

3.   Ensures that all machinery is functioning properly and that all materials are available to meet production requirements.

4.   Is mentor and coach to his/her employees. Provides them counsel and training, and assistance with problems which may affect quality or productivity. Develoips an improvement program for each employee.

5.   Responsible for orderliness. This includes housekeeping, safety conditions, and other quality/productivity records, and proper inventory balances.

6.   Assists in the hiring process for production associates and administers Brazeway’s policies.

7.   Provides leadership to entire plant in absence of department supervisors.

8.   Actively supports and manages to our PBL, 10 Commitments & 8 People Principles.

Education and Experience:

·         High School Diploma with some college or technical trade; Bachelor’s degree preferred

·         Significant shop floor experience

·         Strong commitment to a team environment

Compensation/Benefits:

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
