Brazeway, Inc., a leading extruder of aluminum tubing and manufacturer of fabricated heat transfer components for the refrigeration, HVAC and automotive industries, has an immediate opening for a Quality Engineer (Contract) at our Hopkinsville, KY location. This contract should last approximately 6-9 months.

Position Description:

Aplies appropriate engineering and manufacturing technology to improve existing processes in the areas of quality, productivity, and cost reduction. 

Responsibilities:

1. Act as a technical resource for manufacturing by providing quality expertise to assist with development of APQP documentation.  This includes, but is not limited to, control plans, PFMEAS, flow charts, and inspection plans.

2.  Support manufacturing in achieving quality and policy deployment goals

3.  Actively participate and assist mfg to ensure quality requirements are in compliance in daily operations.

4.  Enusure compliance to industry standard, ISO/TS16949:2009, and customer specific requirements

5.  Manage action plans for quality improvements

 Experience required:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred

·         Basic knowledge of traditional quality tools such as SPC, capability analysis, MSA, and common gauging practices

·         Advance problem solving skills & project mgmt skills

·         Demonstrated discipline and consistency regarding adherence to established standards, policies and procedures
