Maintenance Planner

Job Location: Nevada, IA

Shift: Off Shift position that may require nights and weekends

General Description:
This position is responsible for planning all maintenance work in a timely fashion.

Essential Functions:
This individual will plan work including, but not limited to, the following: Repair and maintenance of machinery, equipment, physical structure, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, preventive, hydraulic, refrigeration, and fabrication/welding. Will use blueprints, specifications, diagrams, service manuals, and outside resources such as vendors and consultants to plan and estimate jobs, preparing them for scheduling and completion. Will use MP2 (Burke Corp Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) of choice) as the primary management tool for all the above activities. Will be involved in P.M. revision, development, and implementation. Will be involved in parts kitting for said P.M.'s and maintenance functions as well as inventory assessment and adjustment according to history and equipment performance. Will be essential in the training of plant personnel throughout the organization in the use of the CMMS and related processes. All work will be planned with safety, GMP and sanitary design in mind in order to minimize the risk of product contamination, ensure employee safety, and USDA compliance. Will at times be required to cover for shift crew leads during absences, vacations, etc.

Personal Qualifications:
A high school diploma, or equivalent, is required, plus 3-5 years of experience in machine systems repair and/ or modification with integrated utility supplies. Integrated utilities include but are not limited to: electrical/ hydraulic, pneumatic/ electrical, mechanical/ pneumatic, welding/ fabrication. OR a graduate of an accredited vocational school with 3 years experience (same as above). Must be proficient in 3 of the following skills and possess a working knowledge in at least 2 others: mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, refrigeration, welding. Must be mechanically oriented, a team player, self-motivated, and willing to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed. Must possess manual dexterity, good communication skills, and the ability to read, write, add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Must be able to follow instructions and demonstrate dependable attendance. Must have valid drivers license.
