Utilities Technician
Job Location: Nevada, IA

6pm - 6am
Primary Duties:
This position is responsible for the operation, preventative maintenance, and repair of all plant refrigeration, boiler, and air generation systems on a floating schedule working both day and night work schedules.
Qualifications:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Mechanical aptitude, as demonstrated by aptitude and/or skills assessment, required. Must possess basic knowledge of electrical safety, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, ammonia refrigeration, compressors, boilers, and HVAC systems. Previous experience with refrigeration, boiler room operation, and air compressors is preferred. Must pass a pulmonary fitness test, maintain HAZMAT certification, and be SCBA qualified. Must be a team player, self motivated, and willing to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as required. Must possess manual dexterity, good communication skills, and the ability to read, write, add, subtract, multiply and divide. Must be able to follow instructions and demonstrate dependable attendance. Must have a valid driver's license.
Compensation/Benefits:
(Grade 9) $15.54 - $17.26
