Quality Inspector
Job Location: Wichita, KS
Salary:
$29,120 - $41,600 DOE
Duties Include:
Performs the processes required in the quality inspection area to ensure processes are performed and quality parts are produced. Receiving Inspection: Tool Inspection: Verifies the tooling against the purchase order and / or the customer requirements. In-Process Inspection: verifies the in-process procedures against the production planning and the customer requirements.
Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent and some college is preferred. Experienced using a PC and related company systems. Ability to use and understand simple and more complex measuring tools. Perform technical mathematics. Ability to perform geometric tolerancing and dimensioning. Ability to read shop drawings and interpret specifications. Knowledge of inspection and quality control principles and standards. Possess inspection/quality management skills. Ability to communicate well. Must have advanced oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with employees and customers. Possess a strong quality awareness. Knowledge and/or skill in Six Sigma and Lean principles are preferred. Must be able to read aircraft blueprints and specifications.
