Duties:
Responsible for the development and design of new products and applicable maintenance of current designs. This position will focus on Inverters and Power Management to design new products. Also electrical hardware design of new products. Creating schematics and using circuit design software to produce printed circuit boards. Research of new parts, processes, or methods to incorporate into new designs. Prototyping and execution of test programs to verify compliance to all applicable performance, regulatory, and quality requirements for design validation. Coordinate with other functional teams during the life cycle of the product and be responsible for design modifications as required. Support production facilities in the manufacture and testing of products. Complete documentation of the design in the required formats. Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) of new and existing designs. Bill of Material (BOM) creation and maintenance. Part and vendor evaluation and qualification. Creation of manufacturing work instructions for production implementation of designs. Implementation of new engineering designs as they transition to production.
Requirements:
Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering from accredited university. 5+ years Electrical Engineering experience required. 2+ years experience in electromechanical design preferred, (but not required). Someone with knowledge of Inverters and Power Management to design new products. Would also be interested in someone with battery management/pack design. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interface with production personnel, engineering, management, and other departments. Organized, focused, and results-oriented with the ability to work on multiple projects. Ability to apply gained knowledge across multiple applications. Printed circuit layout software. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD required. Experience with Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles a plus. Significant solid modeling software experience, SolidWorks helpful.
Salary:
$65,000
