Job Description:

A global, industry leader in the design and manufacture of pumping equipment is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented outside sales person to join their team of dedicated professionals in the role of Territory Sales Manager.

The Ideal Candidate will have previous experience in sales of a highly engineered products that have been manufactured to customer specifications, and will have a technical aptitude and a basic to intermediate understanding of fluid handling/processing equipment.



Duties:




  • Establish a network of direct accounts
  • Ensure financial objectives are achieved
  • Sustain our aggressive sales growth rates
  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements
  • Calculating client quotations
  • Negotiating contract terms
  • Resolving customer problems
  • Offering after-sales support services
  • Working closely with internal departments, suppliers, and other external technical experts



The position requires approximately 75% travel within the territory as well as occasional travel to trade shows and sales training.


Job Requirements:


  • Candidates must possess a minimum of two years successful sales background, strong mechanical and technical skills, demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills, as well as a good understanding of the application and markets of the fluid handling or process industries.
  • A four-year degree in the field of engineering or business is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience using consultative selling methods to sell engineered products.
  • Familiarity with the territorys geographic sales area and the customers within that area is preferred.
  • Skills in time management, scheduling, customer reporting, and distributor/representative management is critical to success.
  • Candidates must reside in the greater Houston area.
