A global, industry leader in the design and manufacture of pumping equipment is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented outside sales person to join their team of dedicated professionals in the role of Territory Sales Manager.
The Ideal Candidate will have previous experience in sales of a highly engineered products that have been manufactured to customer specifications, and will have a technical aptitude and a basic to intermediate understanding of fluid handling/processing equipment.
Establish a network of direct accounts
Ensure financial objectives are achieved
Sustain our aggressive sales growth rates
Managing and interpreting customer requirements
Calculating client quotations
Negotiating contract terms
Resolving customer problems
Offering after-sales support services
Working closely with internal departments, suppliers, and other external technical experts
The position requires approximately 75% travel within the territory as well as occasional travel to trade shows and sales training.
Candidates must possess a minimum of two years successful sales background, strong mechanical and technical skills, demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills, as well as a good understanding of the application and markets of the fluid handling or process industries.
A four-year degree in the field of engineering or business is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have experience using consultative selling methods to sell engineered products.
Familiarity with the territorys geographic sales area and the customers within that area is preferred.
Skills in time management, scheduling, customer reporting, and distributor/representative management is critical to success.
Candidates must reside in the greater Houston area.
