Job Description:

A boutique San Francisco financial district law firm is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Estate Planning, Trust Administration and Probate Associate Attorney. They are an 11 attorney firm with 10 full-time support staff, all of whom enjoy working in a congenial, positive and productive environment. The practice specializes in USA and international estate planning, tax, probate and trust administration for high wealth clients, including a significant portfolio of multinational clients in the UK, Mexico, Central and South America.

Job Requirements:

Applicants must have at least 4 years experience in estate planning, trust administration and probate proceedings. Experience in preparing estate tax returns is desirable. Candidates must have excellent drafting and writing skills, the ability to communicate clearly, enjoy working in a team atmosphere with staff and attorneys and superb attention to detail. This position requires working directly with clients, investment advisors, escrow officers and accountants.
Knowledge of and experience in estate planning drafting, trust and probate administration are essential including:


  • Experience with actual planning and drafting of estate documents;
  • Understanding and familiarity with tax provisions related to estate planning and preferable some international tax experience;
  • Knowledge of CA probate code, ability to manage decedent probate estates from intake through accounting, distribution and discharge including preparation and filing court forms, petitions and orders;
  • Drafting transfer documents for distribution of trust assets, funding subtrusts, and preparation of trust accountings.
