Develop and implement quality management strategy and plans, including resource, systems, timescales, financials, to support, contribute to, and integrate within the organizations annual business plan and long term strategy.
Review customer specifications, engineering, drawings, contracts, purchase orders to determine quality control requirements.
Develop and implement systems to maintain standards relating to activities and products.
Develop and maintain systems to measure performance (internal and external) against established standards in a timely manner.
Effectively track and communicate results to FDI management/employees for the purpose of continuous improvement.
Responsible for Quality document control, vendor control, quality planning, data analysis and reporting.
Administer, maintain use of an electronic quality data management system where applicable.
Maintain and preserve all required non-electronic documentation as well.
Works with Finance department to determine quality costs.
Liaise with quality management and standards bodies (eg. ISO9001, AS9100(d), NADCAP, Government Departments, FAA, etc).
Manage staff according to company standards (performance evaluations, discipline, training, development, etc.)
Manage departmental performance against agreed targets and budgets, and within policies and standards.
Bachelors Degree in Production Management, BSME or other relevant majors.
5-7 years experience in aerospace production quality assurance supervision.
Good working knowledge of composite manufacturing and inspection processes required.
Strong technical expertise is needed. Knowledgeable in Statistical Quality Control (SQC), FAI, ISO9001/AS9100(d) and NADCAP procedures, regulatory compliance, OSHA, customer and governmental audits.
