Follows applicable OSHA safety and EPA environmental regulations and company policies.
Performs electrical/electronic and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance on miscellaneous foundry and machine shop equipment as assigned.
Operates mobile equipment to include forklifts, man lifts, booms, scissor lifts, pickup trucks, automobiles.
Equipment Used: Bridge crane, hoists and lifting/rigging equipment, portable drill, portable hand grinder, various hand tools, jack hammer, ladders, drill press, disc sander, fork lift truck, gasoline vehicle, welder, torches, boom and scissor lifts, multi meters, clamp on meters, oscilloscopes, Ph meters, tachometers, temperature guns, basic measuring devices to include but not limited to rulers, tape measures, calipers and various standard hand tools used for electrical and mechanical maintenance.
Materials Used: Acetylene, oxygen, argon, amine gas, compressed air, natural gas, propane gas, sulfuric acid, adhesives, degreasers, solvents, gasoline, diesel fuel, liquefied petroleum gas, paint, paint primer, sealants, machine coolant, automatic transmission fluid, various types and grades of hydraulic fluid.
Basic mathematic and computer skills.
Ability to climb to heights 125 ft. above grade and work effectively.
Basic understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations with regards to heavy industry and this position.
Must have own standard electrical and mechanical hand tools both metric and standard to 2.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and electrical schematics.
Basic experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Welding experience stick and mig.
Foundry experience preferred.
