Supports Carilion''s hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities. Provides strategic direction and leadership to ensure the delivery of quality services through directing, coordinating, planning, evaluating and communicating evidence based practice and nursing activities and facilitate nursing professional development. Collaborates with Carilion Clinic management team, physicians, and direct reports to support the mission and facilitate accomplishment of goals and objectives. Works cooperatively with organizations leaders and managers to plan for the
application of research findings to improve patient care outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Education: Doctoral degree required (PhD or DNP) , BS or MS in nursing required.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience in Nursing and Management experience required. Research experience preferred. Proven leadership experience required
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: VA RN License
Other Minimum Qualifications: Advanced communications and research consulting skills necessary to effectively direct operational changes in practices to achieve goals. Proven ability to collaborate with nursing staff and councils to identify the need for practice changes, research topics, education, and areas for investigation. Experience supporting the dissemination and utilization of current healthcare research in support of evidence based nursing practices. Customer focused with collaborative problem solving orientation. Excellent project management skills.
