Provides assigned teaching responsibilities in classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical settings. Plans, implements and evaluates academic curriculum. Serves as academic advisor for students. Participates in scholarship, committee work, and service activities.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Education:
Doctorate degree in nursing or related field is preferred. Certified Nurse Practitioner preferred. MSN required.
Experience:
Prior academic teaching experience is preferred. Minimum of two (2) years recent clinical experience required. Licensure, certification, and/or registration:
Current Virginia RN licensure required Other Minimum
Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Good understanding of educational principles and methodologies. Ability to demonstrate psychomotor skills effectively while explaining steps to learning.
