Serves as a consultant, educator and facilitator for the development of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) training materials. Designs solutions using multiple modalities such as instructor-led training, on-line courses, web-based training and video. Applies creative learning strategies including but not limited to: simulation, role-playing, demonstration, documented procedures, and video. Provides feedback to other team members on instructionally sound designs.
All applicants are required to submit 2 - 3 samples from course materials they have developed themselves. If selected for an interview, applicants will be asked to share a portfolio highlighting analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluations.
Education: Master`s degree preferred in instructional design or relevant work experience in lieu of education.
Experience: Five years of instructional design experience required, with demonstrated experience in designing and delivering online and instructor-led classes. Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint. Experience in video production and editing, Cornerstone on Demand and In Design preferred. Experience in various design software such as Captivate and Storyline.
Licenses/Certifications: None required. Relevant training certification preferred, such as C.P.L.P.
Other: Must possess excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. Demonstrated analytical thinking and interpersonal skills. Must work well in a team environment. Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to work on multiple tasks/projects while meeting deadlines and being flexible in an environment of changing priorities. All applicants selected for an interview will be required to submit a portfolio of leadership course materials they have developed themselves. As part of the interviewing process, applicants will be asked to give a brief presentation.
