Domain Architect - Portal/Java Platform - $6,390 - $9,570
Job Location: Tampa Bay / Lakeland Florida Areas
Position Description:
* leading the creation and evolution of the domain architecture,
* leading the creation of domain architecture principles to guide the evaluation, selection, design, construction and implementation of the domain and its elements,
* leading the development of an implementation roadmap for the domain architecture based on business requirements and I/T strategies,
* overseeing the evaluation and selection of product standards, as well as the design of standard configurations within the domain,
* overseeing the creation and evolution of architecture deliverables, including services, frameworks, templates, taxonomies, tools, standards, guidelines and best practices, that support the delivery of I/T solutions,
* analyzing the current I/T environment within the domain to detect critical deficiencies and driving solutions for improvement,
* analyzing technology industry and market trends and determining their potential impact on the domain and the enterprise and
* providing domain training, mentoring and knowledge transfer to the I/S department.
Required Qualifications:
* must have a Bachelors Degree in computer science, or an analytical discipline, or equivalent experience,
* must have five years of experience building and managing an enterprise information portal and building portal based solutions, preferably using Vignette's Portal platform,
* must have expert knowledge and experience with managing and configuring Java runtime environments and Java application servers including BEA Weblogic and IBM Websphere Application Servers in a large enterprise environment,
* must have expert knowledge and experience with Java application development, the JSR Portlet Specifications and Web Services for Remote Portlet(WSRP),
* must have expert knowledge and experience with design patterns, service-oriented architecture, solution frameworks, technical patterns and technical services,
* must have expert knowledge and experience with multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments including .NET, Java and IBM mainframe,
* must have expert knowledge and experience with designing and delivering solutions that factor in system
* performance, usability, cross-system interdependencies, scalability and overall cost to develop and maintain,
* must have strong business knowledge, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into enterprise architecture requirements,
* must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills,
* must have excellent written and verbal communication skills,
* must have excellent planning and organizational skills,
* must be able to balance the long-term ("big picture") and short-term implications of individual decisions and short-term actions that are consistent with long-term goals,
* must be able to work under minimal supervision,
* must have a high degree of self-motivation, commitment and integrity and
* a commitment to Company and or Mission.
Preferred Qualifications:
* experience integrating .NET applications into a J2EE based portal platform,
* experience with enterprise application integration using asynchronous messaging, message brokers, ETL tools, web services and
* experience developing web based applications using the .NET platform.
Salary:
Minimum Base Pay: 6,390.00
Maximum Base Pay: 9,570.00
