Public Safety Officer
Job Location: Park City, Utah
Job Type: Full Time Year Round
Shift:
Shifts/Days: Days off may vary due to shift work
Purpose/Objective:
To patrol hotel facilities and property to ensure the safety of property, guests and personnel.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. Follow The Resort’s etiquette guidelines.
- Make scheduled checks of hotel to ensure security of property. Check all floors, stairwells and storage spaces. Check outside building, parking lots, vehicles, machinery and surrounding areas in accordance with supervisory direction.
- Respond to emergency situations quickly and efficiently.
- Prevent damage to or theft of company property and report violations of company rules and Regulations.
- Report all fires and attempt to extinguish as appropriate.
- Respond to a special guest requests during night hours, deliver housekeeping supplies, crib, etc.
- Monitor and patrol hotel and handle noise or damage complaints from guests. Investigate guest problems or complaints including thefts, fights, and the like. Liaison with law enforcement officials as needed.
- Enforce company rules and regulations, local and state liquor laws with guests and other company personnel.
- Maintain daily records and logs of security incident and activities. File required reports with supervisors.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Working Relationship:
Moderate supervision is received from Director of Security
Physical Requirements:
- Exposure to inclement weather conditions.
- Extensive walking or standing may be required.
Qualifications:
- Basic education (high school) plus one to two years security or law enforcement experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
- Thorough knowledge of company rules, regulations and policies.
- Basic first aid training with CPR preferred.
- Ability to deal with guests and personnel in a courteous, efficient and authoritative manner.
