Description
Experienced, Licensed, Professional Estheticians & Nail Technicians... (Part-Time,Year-Round positions available up to 30 hrs / wk)
To ease the stress of our daily lives, we have provided a soothing, nurturing environment with an elegant, luxurious oasis fit for pampering; found only in world-renowned resort spas.
Estheticians will administer professional facials, waxing services and an array of body treatments to our guests. They must exhibit an unmitigated knowledge of the skin, possess excellent facial massage and skin extraction techniques, feature outstanding cleanliness and sanitation skills and be willing to train in our spa’s specific protocols and procedures. Proven communication skills and an eagerness to learn the products & service knowledge are integral to effectively providing wellness and beauty solutions to exceed the needs of our guests.
Nail Technicians provides an exceptional nail, hand and foot experience. A developed knowledge of the nails, hand and foot massage techniques and an elegant application of polish is necessary.
Schedule:
Must be available to work variable shifts; Days, evenings, weekends and holidays - part-time year–round work available up to 30 hrs/ wk.
Creating Memorable Experiences:
- Provide consistent, professional facial and body treatments for each guest, focusing on results and relaxation in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
- Develop and communicate recommendations for a treatment program for each guest
- Personalize the service by building and maintaining a relationship with each guest
- Provide skincare education
- Present and encourage purchase of our products, advanced services, and upgrades, as a part of the treatment program
- Follow up with clients and monitor changes
- Adhere to The Canyons policies and procedures
- Contribute to the spa operations, maintenance, help with laundry, etc.
- Ensure that the Health and Safety Policies of The Canyons and state/local regulatory boards are followed
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and hygiene, personally, in the work area, and in all other areas of the spa. Inform management of any issues requiring attention.
- Responsible for maintaining tools in perfect form
- Cleanse, exfoliate, treat (mask), tone, and moisturize the client’s skin.
- Provide steam, high frequency and extractions as required
- Provide relaxation treatments while products set
- Provide additional services the client may desire including waxing, serums, Hydra-Dermabrasion, back, facial, makeup, nails and other services we may offer from time to time.
- Provide accurate and appropriate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction
- Work as a team member in assisting other employees, maintaining a positive outlook and environment, supporting each other and the business overall.
Qualifying Experience:
We will give precedence to Estheticians with Nail Technician experience and the ability to provide both services, however this is not currently an expectation and we would hire Estheticians and Nail Technicians separately if necessary.
- Two or more years working full time as an Esthetician and/or Nail Technician, preferably in a four-diamond hotel or other high-end facility.
- Experience in all types of waxing: must be very skilled at eyebrows (most requested) and Brazilian.
- Has the ability to perform a variety of facial treatments, and some body treatments including salt glows and herbal wraps.
- Can provide proof of current Utah Esthetician / Nail license and personal liability insurance
- Retail and motivation sales experience
- Current knowledge of skincare procedures, protocols, and products
- Physically able to perform all esthetic treatments and operate all esthetic equipment, including beds
- Must pass background check.
- Successfully completed schooling from a certified program, Master Esthetician preferred.
