Description
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE
To assist in sales of retail merchandise, including ski/snowboard equipment, clothing and accessories.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. Follow The Resort’s etiquette guidelines.
• Oversee and direct sales staff to maximize sales and maintain store appearance and safety.
• Assist Supervisor in merchandise presentation and stock levels to achieve sales goals with emphasis on assigned departments.
• Assist Supervisor and Retail Director in training Sales Associates, with emphasis on assigned departments.
• Be responsible for accuracy of banks, deposits, sales data, receivers, transfers and daily inventories.
• Efficiently direct opening and closing store procedures.
• Perform returns, exchanges, refunds and special management sales tasks.
• Report Personnel problems, and deal with them according to Company rules and procedures in Supervisor’s absence.
• Enforce Company and store rules and policies among store staff.
• Enforce and maintain compliance with The Canyons Retail Sales and Service Standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
WORKING RELATIONSHIP
Works under the direct supervision of the Retail Supervisor, Director of Retail and other senior staff.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Exposure to inclement weather conditions.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend, lift and carry heavy objects.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High School education or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail sales experience required.
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge of ski/snowboard clothing, equipment and tuning preferred.
• Ability to interact effectively with guests’ concerns and issues in a professional manner.
• Basic computer skills.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Ability to supervise staff in a high volume environment.
• Binding certification required for demo center (will provide).
