Description
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE

Oversee the staff, systems and programs offered by the Guest Services operation of the Grand Summit Hotel. Ensure that all guests and owners receive the highest level of service possible. To ensure that company policies, procedures and philosophy are adhered to.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. Follow The Resort’s etiquette guidelines.
• Responsible for the hiring, training, motivating, counseling and required termination of all associates within the Bell/Valet and Concierge departments.
• Assume abilities and/or preparation of hiring practices in association with Human Resources.
• Maintain and implement existing training programs for Guest Services positions.
• Develop and conduct daily/weekly “Service Training Topic” process; as well as monthly departmental meeting that allow for continual training and communication.
• Ensure staff is provided positive and constructive feedback on their performance through one-on-one and performance enhance meetings; as well as annual reviews.
• Front Office and Guest Service liaison to group contacts/meeting planners and Conference Services at The Canyons Resort.
• Track all Bell/Valet and Concierge associates through performance indicators.
• Utilize Guest Comment Cards, Team Member Survey, and area ratings as provided.
• Daily interaction with visual assessment of performance.
• Provide leadership and effective operation of all departmental functions. Including the ability to assume any position with regards to operation in the following areas:

WORKING RELATIONSHIP
Supervision is received from the Director of Rooms, Front Office Manager, and moderate supervision from the Vice President of Lodging or other senior staff member.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Standing for extended periods of time (1-2 hours)
• Lifting up to 45 lbs
• Ability to operate motor vehicles pursuant to The Canyons policy

QUALIFICATIONS
• High school with one to two years of relevant hotel supervisory experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired for various hotel operations relating to guest service.
• Ability to deal with customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Ability to perform all job duties.
• Ability to learn a variety of information pertaining to the resort and the area.
• Good personal hygiene and appearance.
• Valid driver's license and Canyons Drivers License
• Understanding of basic computer software systems
