Provides support and assistance to clients in managing their mental illness and completing their activities for daily living. Mental health workers ensure the safety of the clients by following choking precaution procedures during meals, quarterly fire drills, and reporting any maintenance needs. They provide residential morning coverage and medication monitoring. Mental health workers are also responsible for facilitating groups in our day program.
Requirements: BA/BS in psychology, social work, or a related field. Mental health and human services experience preferred. Valid New Jersey driver’s license that is current and in good standing.
