Carolina Computer Partners is a full service Information Technology Firm with offices in NC and SC.
For our Charleston, SC office we are seeking a proven Network Engineer and IT Consultant to design technology, implement solutions and troubleshoot all issues related to our customers' technology requirements. Our ideal candidate is a professional, technically adept team-player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide our customers with project-level consultation and analysis.
- Work with our Network Operations Center to resolve trouble tickets.
- Design and appropriately size network and telephony equipment for a variety of different business industries.
- Document, configure and diagram client networks including physical cabling and network components.
- Maintain system integrity and reliability for our clients and their users.
- Exercise skill and appropriate business judgment in communicating with clients. Offer more than break/fix services. Must be capable of offering IT business solutions.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting skills and experience in resolving complex network problems.
Requirements
Qualifications/Skills:
- MCP or higher is required. MCSE, Networking+ and A+ certifications, Exchange, SQL are a plus.
- Exceptional customer management skills are extremely important. Good verbal and written communication with clients and the ability to articulate complex technical situations are a must.
- 6+ years of recent experience.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Server 2003, Exchange 2003, backup and disaster recovery systems.
- Experience with firewalls, switches, routers, hubs, modems, and terminal servers.
- Proficient in using diagnostic, monitoring, and remote tools to maintain the health of our servers and networks.
- VoIP experience including but not limited to configuration, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Altigen Phone and/or ResponsePoint Systems a substantial plus.
