Job Description :
This position requires experience in preparation of aircraft/commodity technical manuals and a thorough working knowledge of TO military specifications is essential. Technical writing and/or editing experience is desired.
· Maintains order, control, and consistency within Technical Orders through a thorough Quality Assurance process for the TOMA and Editorial functions
· Ensures Technical Orders maintain compliance with applicable Military Specifications
· Updates applicable tracking databases · Supplies supervisors with required logs or records in an accurate and timely manner
· Attends and participates in meetings held by supervisors Executes other tasks as required by supervisors
Job Requirements :
· One year of experience in technical manual preparation
· Thorough knowledge of MIL-STD-38784, 38807, MIL-PRF-38804C, and MIL-DTL-87929C
· Additional knowledge and understanding of TO 00-5-1, TO 00-5-15, and ASME Y14.38M
· Experience in COTS applications, to include MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat
· Understanding of Internet Explorer and Microsoft Outlook
· Familiarity with Data Systems, to include Centra, EQPTS, DLDSS, GML, SGML, and FrameMaker Security Clearance Required
