Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work directly with designers, engineers, or team leaders to produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings and electronic images.
· Calculate tolerance stack-ups to verify design fit-up.
· Coordinate with all disciplines to ensure that the drawings convey the correct information and are error free.
· Use national and local codes as guidelines.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
· Must have competency knowledge and understanding of the following equipment / components, (chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, tanks, pumps, valves, etc.)
· Must have experience in steam piping design
· Must have experience in chilled water piping design
· Must have experience in hot water piping design
· Degree from a recognized CAD training facility preferred
· 5 – 10 years experience in drawing/designing.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Must be able to read, interpret, and use applicable standards, specifications, and customer-supplied documentation.
· Understanding of Architectural/Building Design and Layout
· Able to work with minimum supervision and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced.
· Able to receive and transmit drawings electronically with or without translation into customer CAD software.
· Computer literate in AutoCad 2007 and Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Excel, Word).
· Must be a self-starter, as well as a team player capable of interacting well with other team members, clients, and other contacts.
· Must be able to contribute in design reviews.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
