Job Description:
Through innovation, technology, or other means, shall perform the required Audio Visual Technical services at frequencies determined by equipment Preventive Maintenance, routine and scheduled use of conference center space and/or AV technical equipment needs (tenant/client demand). In general, the Audio Visual Technician’s tasks include, but are not limited to: Conference Center Operations and Reservation Management
  • Ensures that all audiovisual equipment is fully functional and operating in the most efficient manner; serving as the point of contact with audiovisual clients and vendors; and maintaining a current knowledge of the Center’s audiovisual/conferencing capabilities.
  • Receives direct requests for audiovisual/conferencing services submitted by various components.
  • Evaluates requests in terms of audience, subject matter, program and presentation requirements.
  • Depending on the type of meeting or conference requested, determines the best manner in which to meet client agency needs.
  • Provides advice and guidance regarding room set-up; audiovisual equipment capabilities and requirements; desired effects; teleconferencing and/or other interactive communication links; special equipment, mechanical system or furniture specifications, etc.
  • In coordination with the Property Managers, arranges for work to be performed, such as room setup, proper HVAC levels and operation of climactic controls, acquisition and placement of equipment and furniture, etc.
  • Records all reservation information using EMS Lite conference room software; uses software to the fullest extent and creates weekly reports for the COR.
  • Updates Power Point display of conference center schedule daily. Room Set-Up Audio Visual Services Inventory Management Performs Preventive and Corrective Maintenance

Job Requirements:
Job Skills:
  • Personnel must have experience in normal office etiquette and be able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Shall be qualified in the A/V Technical EMS Lite Conference room software and technical equipment skills, including proficiency in the use of Lotus Notes E-mail and PowerPoint.

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or related discipline and three(3) years experience preferred. Associate's degree and five (5) years experience is acceptable. You must be a U.S. citizen. (This support will require an IT-II: NACLC (National Agency Check with Local Credit Check) investigation.)
